Complete Victor Jara Catalog Reissued in Chile
 Warner Music Chile in early 2001 released a large portion of Victor Jara's discography -- including many rare and unreleased tracks -- in 8 remastered CDs and one double-CD anthology. EMI Odeón Chilena followed suit in September 2001 with a double-CD collection of nearly all the material Victor recorded for the label from 1959-1969. The collections mark a turning point for Victor's musical works, giving the tracks some much-needed restoration and remastering, yet leaving some unanswered questions as to the future availability of Victor's work in the rest of the world.

Welcome!
Eventually this site will be home to more complete information about Victor Jara's music and life, but for now the main feature is the discography. The text version is the most complete and provides the most information; the graphical version is a bit more interactive and provides cover images when available, though it's still under development. Other discographies that I've come across often present partial information or focus on items currently available in certain countries. The goal of this discography is to be as complete as possible, listing every release on which Victor has appeared. Algún día este sitio tendrá información más completa sobre la música y vida de Víctor Jara. Por el momento hay una discografía que pretende ser la más completa de todas. Hay una versión de texto que tiene la mayor cantidad de información, y también hay una versión gráfica que es más interactiva y trae imagines de las portadas, aunque está todavía en desarrollo. Muchas veces otras discografías presenten información incompleta o enfoquen sólo en discos actualmente disponibles en algún país. Esta discografía quiere incluir todos los discos (singles, LPs, cassettes, CDs) en que Víctor cante o toque.
